Nokia 9 PureView appears in leaked press photos

While the Motorola RAZR 2019 is keeping the rumour mill busy with speculations and fan renders, the Nokia 9 PureView is all but certain to make an appearance this year at HMD’s Nokia event at MWC set for February 24th. Its 5-camera system has circulated the Internet for more than a year now and now we’re close to it being a reality, but a few more official press renders along the way are more than welcome. And thanks to 91mobiles.com we have a fresh pare of those.

We can see the new device in all its glory sporting wider top and bottom bezels, a Nokia logo with a selfie camera next to it in the top right and sensors opposite to that. The display seems to be a flat one, fit for those like myself who aren’t big fans of curved screens. What is interesting is that the fingerprint sensor seems to be an under-display deal, a first for HMD. Speaking of the screen, it will be a 5.99″ unit with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2K resolution.

On the back we see the already classic 5-camera array together with a flash and an autofocus module and the Zeiss branding between all of these. The exact configuration of the cluster is not known, but it is thought to include a wide-angle sensor, a tele-photo one, a monochrome and a depth sensor along with the main RGB sensor. While the display is flat, the back is curved towards the edges for easier grip. The right side will feature the power and volume keys.

Apart from all these physical features we can see in the photos, we also know that it will have a USB Type C port and a 3.5mm earphone jack. The internals will include last year’s Snapdragon 845 with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM. A 5G-compatible variant sporting a Snapdragon 855 is also rumoured to be in the works.
